'Moss agate is a beautiful example of something I find amazing about gemstones: no matter how tiny they are, if you look closely they can take you to another dimension, like a whole other universe were trapped inside....as nature often repeats its basic designs with only changing the scale, the deep green, moss-like pattern on white background that is characteristic of this gemstone is created in my painting with tree branches and leaves against the pale sky.'
