'My Runaway Houses series was inspired by one of my favorite books from my childhood, a story by Norwegian writer Tor Age Bringsvaerd about an old house that is rescued by its bird friends from demolition and resettled on an opening in a beautiful, peaceful forest – a place the house used to dream abut for years.
